The Duration coating was applied using a spray-and-backroll process. Backrolling was performed on the home’s vertical siding to help create consistent coverage and proper adhesion.

Preparing a Chalky Exterior Surface

The home’s exterior had developed a chalky surface from prolonged exposure to the Arizona climate. Painting directly over a chalky substrate can interfere with adhesion, so additional preparation was necessary before applying the finish coat.

Our team applied a clear bonding sealer to the areas being painted. The sealer helps stabilize the existing surface and provides a stronger bond between the substrate and the new exterior coating.
