Mesa Exterior Painting Project: Stone Lion & French Roast
Arizona Painting Company recently completed an exterior repaint of a 1,646-square-foot, single-story home in Mesa, Arizona. The project included a full refresh of the home’s exterior surfaces, along with additional preparation to ensure the new paint would properly adhere and provide a durable, long-lasting finish.
Scope of the Exterior Painting Project
Our painting team repainted the home’s siding, soffits, fascia, porch and patio ceilings and pillars, metal drip edge, electrical junction boxes and conduit, garage door, side door, rear patio door and security doors.
The project was completed in just three days.

The homeowners selected a warm, complementary Sherwin-Williams color combination:

Sherwin-Williams Latitude 100% Acrylic Flat was used on the body of the home, with Latitude 100% Acrylic Gloss used on the doors.
Preparing a Chalky Exterior for Paint
One of the most important parts of this Mesa exterior painting project happened before the new color was applied. The existing exterior had developed a chalky surface, which can prevent new paint from properly bonding to the home. To address this, our team applied a clear masonry sealer/bonding agent to the areas being painted. The product helps stabilize the existing surface and creates better adhesion for the finish coat.
The project also included replacing the garage door trim before painting, helping give the finished exterior a cleaner, more complete appearance. The result is a refreshed Mesa home with a warm neutral Stone Lion body, rich French Roast accents and an exterior finish designed to stand up to Arizona conditions.
