Glendale Exterior Painting Project: Finest Silk & Baked Potato

Arizona Painting Company recently completed a full exterior repaint of a 1,236-square-foot, single-story home in Glendale, Arizona as part of our Paint It Forward initiative.

The homeowner, Joanne, had previously booked her exterior painting project with our team and was later surprised with a special giveaway designed to make a meaningful difference beyond the paint project itself. After learning more about her circumstances and the pressure she had been receiving from her HOA to update the home’s exterior colors, our team surprised her with an entire year’s worth of groceries.

The exterior painting project was completed in approximately three and a half days.

Preparing the Home’s Chalky Exterior

Like many homes exposed to years of Arizona sun and weather, the exterior had developed a chalky surface. This condition requires additional preparation because new paint may not properly bond to a loose or chalky substrate.

Before applying the finish coats, our team used a clear bonding sealer on the areas being painted to help stabilize the existing surface and improve adhesion between the substrate and the new coating.
