Going Bold

This is your opportunity to stop playing it safe. Is the rest of your home neutral? If it is, considering a bold bathroom might be the risk that is worth taking. Paint your bathroom red! It might feel like a daring choice, but it is a secret accent to your home that is timeless. Use accent pieces to dictate the intensity and ‘feel’ your new red wall creates. You can try color blocking with white and black pieces, or lean into your 19th Century Victorian era by picking out some gold pieces.

Classic with Black and White

Another timeless option, black and white. Think 1940’s and 1950’s style. Black walls with white subway tile and strong white accents are always “in.” It is that modern, yet sleek and retro feel that makes you want to keep your bathroom clean! Black floor tile is very popular right now, but buyer beware; black floors show everything, from small watermarks to specs of dust. Again, are you looking for a more elegant feel? Black and white pair perfectly with marble by tying them together, giving your bathroom a fancier, more sophisticated look.

Subdued Pastels

Bathrooms painted in pastel colors are very common, but when done just right, it emits a cheerful and bright tone that pairs nicely with your warm cup of joe. Taupe and subdued yellows pull in a regal and clean feel that sways your mood to happy and comfortable. Lean into your countryside by pairing these colors with wooden accents and greenery. By bringing the outside inside, you can breathe some life back into your home! Just don’t forget to water them.

Textures

To texture or not to texture. Texturing walls are great for small bathrooms because It introduces some added depth into the smaller space. While texturing walls is relatively easy, there’s no turning back. Removing texture from walls is time-consuming and expensive, so just be ready for the commitment! The best colors to choose for textured walls are shades of brown, beige, or dark colors. Texturing earthy tones will emit warmth and a feeling of cosiness. This look is especially popular with the Southwestern style of Arizona homes!

Adventurous Neon’s

Who doesn’t love a good bathroom theme? While neon is a loud color choice, it is great for kid’s bathrooms. Whether you are under the sea, or soaking up the sun, neon bathrooms scream youth and excitement! Painting your bathroom with neon colors can feel like a design risk initially, but this is another opportunity to have fun and get creative. Maybe a bright pink wall isn’t exactly what you had in mind. Another great option for achieving this look is to paint your walls with monochromatic colors, then add neon accents. These accents will pop right off gray walls, so if you are worrying about the longevity of neon orange, or your kiddo’s favorite color changes with the seasons, that monochromatic gray is extremely versatile and works well with a changing style.
