Arizona Painting Company Is Bringing Holiday Meals to Arizona Families

With the help of our local communities, the Arizona Painting Company donated 75 turkeys and $500 in gift cards for Holiday Meals to St. Vincent De Paul.

Giving Back

Throughout the year, Arizona food banks continuously work to bring meals to families in need. The holidays are a particularly challenging time for our local food pantries. Arizona’s hunger rates are higher than national averages. This year statistics show that approximately 17.8% of Arizonans are food insecure, while 28.2% of Arizonan children face hunger. Volunteers and donations are always needed across the valley to ensure hoiday meals for those in need.

Arizona Painting Company decided to partner with St. Vincent De Paul at Ss. Simon and Jude this year. St. Vincent De Paul hosts one of the largest single-day turkey drives to provide families the joy of having delicious holiday meals on Thanksgiving. In 2015, St. Vincent de Paul collected more than 20,000 turkeys, packaged them into food boxes and delivered them to hungry individuals and families throughout the state.

Throughout the month of November, for every paint job that was booked, the Arizona Painting Company donated a turkey on our customer’s behalf. On November 22nd, we were able to purchase and donate 75 frozen turkeys for families in need. That evening, St. Vincent De Paul at Ss. Simon and Jude gave turkeys and all the fixings to 101 families.

Thank you so much for everything!! We absolutely could not have done what we were able to do without your help. Last night we were able to give Thanksgiving dinners to 101 families!!  We just cannot thank you enough for your generosity and your helpful spirit!! The three of you willingly and selflessly buying the turkeys, transporting the turkeys, and then unloading them for us at our pantry, is amazing!! Another wonderful gesture you made was donating those Fry’s gift cards!! Believe me, we will be putting those to good use at Christmas time!! You are truly angels to us! May God bless all of you!!
