RACHEL SLICK CHOSEN FOR THE 2020 PAINT IT FORWARD WITH THE ARIZONA PAINTING COMPANY
TUSCON (September 29, 2020): It is that time of year again for the Arizona Painting Company to Paint It Forward! We are giving back to the community by donating a $5,000 painting project to a deserving Arizona family. While we read through hundreds of nominations, we’ve selected a fantastic family with an incredible story of love, sacrifice and strength. With a fresh coat of paint, the Arizona Painting Company hopes to bring a fresh start to this loving family.
Introducing Rachel Slick: Our Paint It Forward Campaign participant
Nominated by Timothy Schirack, Timothy sent an entry asking us to help Rachel Slick, who became disabled in 2012. She is a mother of three children and is determined to fix their house to make it more of a home for them. Trying to paint the home herself, she tested multiple colors and began the project. However, the physical stress of the job was to much for her on top of the added responsibility of raising her three kids. The house has a variety of patchy colors, looking unfinished. Due to her determination and commitment to her children, she was the perfect candidate for our Paint It Forward Campaign.
The Project
After hearing her story, Arizona Painting Company knew that Rachel and her family were right for the 2020 Paint It Forward. She was chosen for her strength as a mother and her need to make her home beautiful again. Her home will be made new again on October 24th, 2020.
